Fertile Films

Fertile Films produces commissioned films mostly for not-for-profit organisations and government as well as developing projects for television. Proprietor Sarah Barton has a particular interest in making films that advance the rights of people with disabilities.

In 2010 Fertile Films’ proprietor Sarah Barton was awarded a prestigious Churchill Fellowship.  In September and October travelled to the United Kingdom, Geneva and the United States to research and record interviews for a documentary about the history of the disability rights movement. Since completing the Fellowship Sarah has teamed up with producer Nell White and together they have been working hard to bring the film to the screen but it's been a painstaking process... and one that continues.  We hope to have news to share very soon about the latest developments so stay tuned.
